Microsoft Publisher Brochure
This was a project I worked on as part of a group in an intermediary Microsoft Office course at Kent State University. I was the leader of the team and acted in that capacity as the project planner and project manager. Additionally, I took on the responsibility to complete several individual parts of the project, including this brochure. I chose this because it demonstrates my familiarity with layout and design in Microsoft Publisher, but also because it demonstrates my digital image manipulation skills; I used Adobe Photoshop to create the torn edge effect of the continuity element used in the Publisher file.
This brochure was created in Microsoft Publisher. When printed it folds in thirds, and elements of the front and back are aligned to create continuity as it's being unfolded.
The interior side also features a banner that overlaps other design elements to create the illusion of added depth.
This is the printed brochure folded into thirds.
As the front panel is unfolded the first interior is revealed with customer comments and company history.
Note the design element of the torn edge is repeated on both of these panels, as is the background image, thus creating continuity through the experience of unfolding the brochure.
As the brochure is completely unfolded, a menu is revealed with a banner that creates an illusion of depth, helping to tie panels together. Customer comments are maintained in the field of view while the menu is being observed.
